Jakkalsputz
Massive seasonal campsite just south of Henties Bay, a haven for shore anglers.
About
Jakkalsputz is a vast and legendary campsite located about 9km south of Henties Bay, within the Dorob National Park. Famous among locals and anglers, it stretches along the coastline and becomes a bustling hub of activity during the summer holidays (December and January), which is its primary operating season. The camp offers hundreds of open campsites with basic shared ablutions and water points, though no electricity is provided at the sites. Its proximity to the ocean makes it a prime spot for galjoen and steenbras fishing. While amenities are rustic, it serves as an affordable and social base for enjoying the West Coast's cool sea breeze and rugged beauty.
