Mile 108
Mile 108
Popular NWR fishing camp on the Skeleton Coast, offering basic chalets and camping.
About
Mile 108 is a well-known NWR campsite located along the desolate and scenic Skeleton Coast, approximately 34km south of the Ugab Gate. It is a favored destination for anglers, renowned for excellent catches of Kabeljou and Steenbras from the shore. The camp offers basic accommodation in the form of fisherman's chalets (bed only) and large campsites, some with private ablutions. While facilities are simple—electricity is solar and limited, and there are no power points at the sites—it offers a kiosk for essentials and serves as an adventurous base for exploring the rugged coastline, the Cape Cross Seal Colony, and the nearby Messum Crater.
