Kaoko Mopane Lodge

Kaoko Mopane Lodge is an eco-friendly lodge located just outside Opuwo, the gateway to the Kaokoland. Built from local materials and powered by solar energy, it sits on the banks of a dry riverbed shaded by Mopane trees. Accommodation includes luxury rooms and private campsites, each with its own ablution facility and power. The main area features a restaurant, bar, and swimming pool. It is an ideal base for exploring the region, with activities such as guided tours to local Himba villages, birding walks, and excursions to nearby springs and fossils.
