Alte Kalköfen Lodge

Alte Kalköfen Lodge is a unique and tranquil stopover located 90km west of Keetmanshoop, set in a beautiful desert garden near the Gurib River. The lodge is built around restored historic lime kilns ("Kalköfen"), offering a blend of history and nature. Accommodation consists of en-suite bungalows with river views and exclusive campsites with private ablutions. The main area features a restaurant serving home-cooked meals, a bar, and a swimming pool. The lodge is famous for housing the Cole Lithoparium, the largest registered collection of Lithops (succulents) in Namibia. Activities include guided nature drives, hiking trails, and morning breakfast runs into the veld.
