Khowarib Lodge

Khowarib Lodge is uniquely situated on the banks of the Hoanib River, marking the boundary between Damaraland and Kaokoland. It offers 14 thatched, canvas-sided chalets on stilts with private decks overlooking the riverbed, as well as nine shaded campsites with power and shared ablutions. The main 'lapa' features a restaurant, bar, and a refreshing swimming pool, with Wi-Fi available. The lodge is renowned for its guided excursions, particularly desert elephant tracking in the Hoanib. Guests can also embark on guided nature walks, rock art excursions, and cultural visits to a local Himba village, gaining insight into the semi-nomadic lifestyle.
